Re: Why the Cobra isn't released?
Yes 2010. I must have confused the main page with the release announcement forum, which has the 0.8 release in 2008.

Re: Why the Cobra isn't released?
Passed five months, and the situation didn't exchange. And after all it isn't too difficult. Enough after each successful run of tests to create archive of a directory "trunk" and to spread the reference on the main page. I suspect that it can be automated in several lines of a code!

Re: Why the Cobra isn't released?
I assure you the release has been on my mind daily for the past few months. I want the 0.9 release to have a few key refinements as well as many more bugs squashed. You can see on the timeline at http://cobra-language.com/trac/cobra/timeline that there has been plenty of progress.
There are also some updates to make to the web site.
Also, there is more effort involved with testing on different platforms and announcing in various places. But that is not the main reason for the delay. However, I wouldn't want people thinking that it's a 5 minute effort. 5 minutes only covers the things you can automate.
Anyway the release is still coming.
Parallel to my efforts, feel free to help out.
