The way we currently do planning is through the tickets and the roadmap/milestones on Trac.
Informal planning can be done via discussion here.
In terms of dates, I don't advertise any. Things change as we discover new priorities and combined with being part time, it's even harder than usual to predict when something will be done. But I am committed to:
-- Making improvements every week.
-- Expanding the automated test suite to cover bug fixes, refinements and new features.
-- Cutting a release each month.
-- Posting a monthly update so people know we're alive and making progress.
-- Supporting people here on the forums.
