I would like to know where you get this 90% figure. Sites like http://msn.com and http://latimes.com have millions of readers so I'm sure they would have all their links colored blue like in the 90s if it was a problem. I'm not saying that the factors at work on those sites are exactly the same here but the point is a link's look and feel can vary.

I made it up - I actually started with 99.9%
So what - its actually 82.1% or 63.4 % or 34.5% or 22.3% or 112.794%
whatever - bite me

Its still more than whatever arbitrary random-color-of-the-day-cos-I-think-its so-cewl-to-use-a different-color-style-cos-its-so-like-modern
so as a user coming to the web site for the first time have to work our what brain spasm choice was made to color/delineate links DIFFERENTLY from most of the rest of the web
Now I (user)have to decode and reverse engineer your design just to use the frackin web page cos its affordances are different from everything else. I didnt come to this web site to appreciate the design choices of the display and learn a whole new UI paradigm- I'm after the content

FFS make design choices for aesthetics where it wont cause 'WTF is going on here - how do i use this'
for anyone who visits the web site and actually decides they then want to interact with it.

Do you drive car with a rhomboid steering wheel ?

* excuse the sarcasm
(or not - I'm done with arguing the sense of this - if you cant get the point of having a common UI for web link interaction that regardless of how lame it might appear is immediately approachable then I'm obviously wasting my time and bandwidth)

Really like the new look of the website. Now a (new) logo would be nice :-)

Todd did in fact tweak the site to use colored links per my request so this issue is basically resolved (unless further tweaks are required regarding specific colors or particular pages that didn't turn out right).

Btw I made the request because even though some sites like latimes and msn get away with undecorated links on their front page, they can because of the preponderance of headlines and the fact that almost everything is clickable on the front page. Notably, both sites color their links inside of stories.

Note that I was able to make that point without being rude.

hops, I have had a lot of discussions with Todd over the web site and although we've disagreed over "this and that", such disagreements never required either one of us to say "bite me" or to characterize the other person in a negative fashion or to say "excuse the sarcasm...or not". You obviously lost your patience here, but as an adult, that's no excuse to act like this.

I don't want the Cobra community to become acidic.

Submissions for a Cobra logo are welcome. They can be posted here in the forums. Personally, I don't have the graphic skills to do a nice one.

The Mono Project has a silhouette of a monkey which can also be colored nicely where appropriate.

You've lost bold highlighting of text in the wiki pages ( i.e text delineated with 3 ' - '''this is bold'').
examples on 'Classes' and 'Properties' pages.

I'm sure that when I was looking at samples of cobra code in the wiki (and perhaps the forum) yesterday the comments were a nice clear easily seeable/readily readable green (changed from an earlier unreadable pale shade of of light grey earlier)

They now seem to have returned to a pale grey which is again difficult to see/read.

Was this by accident or design ?

I haven't tweaked these yet. I do agree with you that they need to be made more readable.
